Support to ICT Strategic Planning in the Caribbean ParliamentsBetween October 2009 and June 2012 the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA), through the Global Centre for ICT in Parliament, in partnership with the the Caribbean Centre for Development Administration (CARICAD), implemented the project “Support to ICT Strategic Planning in the Caribbean Parliaments”. The project, funded by the European Union,
aimed to promote transparency, accountability, democratic
participation, and good governance in the Caribbean region by empowering the
parliaments to better fulfill their democratic functions and
contributing to their institutional strengthening through the use of
modern information and communication technologies.
