info@ictparliament.org On 12 August, the Global Centre for ICT in Parliament, the Office of Legislative Services of the Legislative Assembly of Puerto Rico and the IFLA Library and Research Services for Parliaments Section, held a one-day training titled "Strategies for managing digital library sources" in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The Training focused on the use of new technologies and on international standards to enhance the capacity of parliamentary libraries to develop, manage and deliver digital resources. The event, held at the Legislative Assembly of Puerto Rico, was directed at heads of parliamentary libraries and research services from parliaments of Latin America and the Caribbean. It was built on the outcome of the International Workshop organized in January 2011 in Valparaiso, Chile, and intended to contribute to the activities of the Exchange Network of Parliaments of Latin America and the Caribbean.
