Ukrainian translation of the World e-Parliament Report 2012 now available

The Parliamentary Development Project for Ukraine has worked with the Division of Computerized Systems of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Institute of Telecommunications and Global Information Space of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine to provide the Ukrainian translation of the original English language World e-Parliament Report 2012.

The Library of Congress of the United States of America has launched the new legislative information resource web page Congress.gov, beta version. Congress.gov makes federal United States legislative information freely available to the public.

The World e-Parliament Conference 2012 was held at the Chamber of Deputies of Italy, in Rome, on 13, 14 and 15 September.

New website launched

The National Democratic Institute (NDI), the Sunlight Foundation and the Latin American Network for Legislative Transparency launched the website www.openingparliament.org to serve as a forum to help connect the world's civic organizations engaged in monitoring, supporting and opening up their countries' parliaments and legislative institutions.

Monitoring Groups Agree to Work Together to Advance Parliamentary Transparency

At the Conference "PMO Leaders Conference on Parliamentary Transparency and Networking" concluded on 2 May 2012, parliamentary monitoring organizations (PMOs) from all regions of the world shared their experiences and good practices on a host of topics, from monitoring political finance to advocating for greater transparency of parliamentary information. The PMOs at the conference agreed to continue to work together in a number of concrete areas, including a shared declaration of principles on parliamentary transparency.
