The Parliamentary Development Project for Ukraine has worked with the Division of Computerized Systems of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Institute of Telecommunications and Global Information Space of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine to provide the Ukrainian translation of the original English language World e-Parliament Report 2012.

La Conférence mondiale 2012 sur l’e-Parlement a eu lieu à la Chambre des députés d'Italie, à Rome, les 13, 14 et 15 Septembre. La clôture de la Conférence a coincidé avec la Journée internationale de la démocratie, établie en 2008 par l'Assemblée générale des Nations Unies.

The World e-Parliament Conference 2012 was held at the Chamber of Deputies of Italy, in Rome, on 13, 14 and 15 September.

The school provided knowledge of the most significant ICT standards emerging for legislation, judiciary, parliamentary and administrative documents. The course provided an understanding of their impact in the different phases of the legislative and administrative process, awareness of the tools based on legal XML standards and their constellations, and the ability to participate in the preparation and use of standard-compliant documents throughout law-making process.
This year the course took place in Ravenna, Italy, on 10-15 September 2012.
It was followed on 17-18 September by a Akoma Ntoso Developers Workshop.

Starting on 13 September 2011, the Senate of the Dutch Parliament will distribute its meeting documents to its 75 Senators by tablet computer. At the start of the first session after the summer recess, the Senators each received an iPad with an application (App) designed especially for the Senate. The Members of the Senate can use this modern communication tool to consult and manage the complete information flow of calendars, legislative bills, parliamentary correspondence and other meeting documents.

Plusieurs parlements ont introduit un certain nombre de technologies directement dans la salle plénière. Le Rapport mondial 2010 sur l’e-Parlement a constaté, par exemple, que 81% des parlements ont, ou le prévoient et envisagent, un système de vote électronique pour les séances plénières. Le mode primaire d’identification est une carte ou un jeton (58%) ; les autres, actuellement utilisés par beaucoup moins de parlements, incluent la biométrie, l'emplacement du siège de chaque parlementaire et les mots de passe. Quatre législatures ont indiqué qu'ils utilisent deux méthodes.
